Department of Information Technology

The aim of the programmes is to equip its students with the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfil organizational needs of computer-based information systems, grow into leadership positions, and pursue research or graduate studies in the field, upon graduation. Graduates will be able to select, create, apply, integrate, administer and maintain computing technologies in organizations and within the larger society requiring collaboration.

• Provide students with a broad and balanced foundation of Information Technology knowledge and practical skills.
• Develop in students the ability to apply knowledge and skills to solve potential problems of Information Technology .
• Equip students with the capacity for professional practice in Computing and Information Technology.

• Develop in students a range of transferrable skills of information technology to all aspects of human endeavours.
• Develop candidates for self-employment and job placement in government or in any industry.
• Create in students appreciation of the importance of information technology in industrial, political, economic, legal, natural, technological and social contexts for a better world g. Develop in students the urge for academic and professional pursuit in information technology and related disciplines.
