Babcock University's Zircon graduating class presented 164 doctoral candidates for hooding, having met the university's requirements to be certified doctors. The event was unique in that it featured doctoral candidates in a variety of fields, including nursing, finance, and economics.

The President Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ademola Tayo, congratulated the Candidates on the landmark achievement and admired their courage in the midst of daunting challenges, having endured hurdles to emerge victorious. He urged them to take advantage of the expertise they have acquired and remember their future is greater than their present and prays the blessing is permanent in their lives.

Amongst those who were hooded are high-profile professionals, high court judges, honorable members of the House of Assembly, and medical directors amongst others.
